Special Event:  On Tuesday evening (May 19th) at 5:30 pm, you will have a wonderful opportunity to take a technical audio tour of The Fritsche Theatre in Cowan Hall at Otterbein College. The theatre seats 1100 people and recently underwent an extensive renovation to upgrade the acoustics and sound reinforcement system.  It features linked digital consoles, SFX cue system, digital signal processing coordinating five speaker systems, a complete wireless installation, and a center cluster horizontal array speaker system.  You may stay after the tour and watch the final Dress Rehearsal of a major musical (“Nine”) to see how the system is utilized in a “real-world” application.  The tour will be led by Dana L. White (U.S.A. Lighting Designer), Professor of Lighting and Sound Design and Technology and Dave Mead, system designer for this installation and corporate trainer for Live Technologies (and was CEO for 25 years).  This will be a great educational opportunity. Please make plans to attend. A map and transportation details will be given to you at the seminar.
